Academy Coach
Win Tennis, Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre
Job Purpose:
To work and travel with academy players on a day to day basis with the aim of having them compete internationally whilst working as part of a team under the direction of the Director of Tennis and Academy Head Coach.
Key Tasks in the Role:
The Academy Coach has the responsibility for coaching a designated group of players based in the Academy. This is an on court role with a minimum of 35 hours per week on court which incorporates the following responsibilities:
* The Technical and Tactical development of the players in his/her group. * Tournament / training schedules & goal setting for the players in his/her group. * Travelling to tournaments or camps with the players, being fully responsible for the player’s welfare at these events (junior players). This will be a minimum of 10 weeks (70 days) per year and includes weekend work. * Working with a team of support staff to deliver the appropriate physical, mental and sports medical programme to their players. * Working within the guidelines of the Annual Plan at the Academy. * The Academy Coach will be required to travel weeks and weekends throughout the year. * Regular communication with parents on a formal and informal basis. * Delivery of the LTA AASE programme content. * Any other duties as required to fulfil the needs of the business.
Essential Requirements: * DCA, CCA or international equivalent * LTA Coach Licence * Full driving licence
Non essential:
* International coaching experience
