SENIOR ACADEMY PROGRAMME
Comment from Richard O’Connor on the recent trip to South America:
“The players who went on the trip made good of their time. Results for some did not reflect the hard work and progress they made to improve. The heat and surface conditions tested their fitness and patience. Each player has matured and understands the intensity at which they must train on a daily basis, both physically and mentally. We believe the experience has strengthened their characters, and the coming months should prove even more rewarding.”
Mini Tennis
Information has been sent out to parents regarding the proposed structure which will take effect after the Easter holidays.
In April…
A parents’ evening for Mini Tennis has been booked for Monday 7th April in the Abbey.
A group of Junior Academy boys have been selected for a doubles match against the AELTC, with Andrew Richardson as captain, on the weekend of 5th April.
A two-week trip to Spain w/c 14th April to play in Grade 2 and Grade 3 ITF tournaments is being organised for seven of our Senior Academy girls, headed by up by Martin Lee.
